The Company

Derby Associates International (Derby) was established in 1990 and is headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.  Derby is an independent company specializing in web-based decision support and automated data collection software and services for the electronics manufacturing industry.  As a spin-off from Hewlett-Packard's Manufacturing Test Division (now Agilent Technologies), the Company's skills and expertise are deeply rooted around electronics manufacturing and the test workcell, which has enabled the company to become the leading supplier of automated data collection links to commercial testers.

Over the past decade, Derby has also developed alliances with several other leading Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Companies, which has enabled the company to become the leading supplier of automated data collection links to commercial testers.

Derby’s ability and expertise to automatically collect, store and consume shop floor data from anywhere in the manufacturing supply chain, has enabled the Company to provide decision support solutions to many world-class companies in the electronics industry over the past 17 years.

The Market

Now that contract and off-shore manufacturing are established staples within the electronics industry, the need and demand to share data across the product life-cycle and/or global supply chain has dramatically increased! For Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) companies there is a business need to capture and share shop floor data from anywhere in the global supply chain to improve engineering decisions and business intelligence. OEMs need data to ensure they continue to get their products and technology to the marketplace on time, and EMS companies need the same data to maximize asset utilization and quality. Software companies within the electronics industry must develop applications and services that enable OEM and EMS companies to address these emerging and evolving information management needs.
